Q: I installed the retail edition of Windows 2000 using boot diskettes. But the desktop shows I am running the Evaluation Edition. What happened?

A: This is a known bug that can happen if you use boot diskettes that were created from an evaluation CD-ROM. Even though you inserted a retail CD, your system is still tagged with the evaluation 120 day limit. (See Microsoft Knowledge Base article KB256325.) UDeploy 2000 can fix this problem.
