Algin Technology LLC ("Algin") is committed to protecting your privacy. Algin employs comprehensive physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect the security and integrity of all personal information. All billing information is encrypted whenever received online. Personal information is accessible only by staff designated to handle online requests. All staff, including agents and contractors with access to personal information obtained on this web site, are bound to adhere to this policy.

Personal Information That May Be Collected Online

Algin collects the following types of personal information: names, postal and e-mail addresses, phone and facsimile numbers, shipping & billing information, computer names and IP addresses. If you send us a technical support request, our technical support personnel may ask you for your hardware & software configuration and additional information regarding your computer environment in order to resolve your issue.

Algin does not collect or maintain information from those actually known to be under the age of 13, and no part of our site is structured to attract anyone under the age of 13.

How Algin Uses Personal Information Collected Online

Unless you consent, Algin will not use your personal information for any purpose other than that for which it is submitted. Exceptions are made for law enforcement, tax compliance, and as otherwise required by government laws and regulations (see below).

How Your Personal Information May Be Shared

Algin has a policy of not divulging your personal information to third parties. We do not share our mail lists with third parties. We do not sell or rent personal information. Your agent's privacy policy may be different than ours, but we we will protect any personal information that we receive from your agent according this Privacy Policy as if we received it from you directly.

Algin may release personal information to appropriate authorities under the following circumstances:

  • Where our records indicate you may be engaged in fraudulent activity (e.g., stolen credit card number) or other illegal or deceptive practices;

  • Where your communication suggests threats or possible harm.

For any of the above reasons we may notify the appropriate law enforcement or government agency, your Internet Service Provider (ISP), your credit card company, or other appropriate agency.

With your consent we may notify you of software bug fixes, new software products or major upgrades to our software products. We will do so if you checked the boxes to elect to receive such notices. At any time you can add or remove your name for receiving such notices by going to the Shop page and click on "Returning Shopper". Enter your password and check or uncheck the appropriate boxes. Or contact us to ask to be added or removed.

If your personal information changes or you would like to review the personal information we may have on file, go to the Shop page and click on "Returning Shopper". Enter your password and click on "Update Registration". Or you can contact us to request update or removal of your information.

Cookies

Our web site contains a log to track visits to web pages. Site logs are used to count page hits, to count referers to our web pages (such as from a search engine like Google or Yahoo), to correct link errors and other technical problems, and for similar internal purposes by our technical support staff. All site logs are protected under this Privacy Policy. As with personal information (see How Your Personal Information May Be Shared) we may share our site logs with the appropriate legal authorities in response to possible illegal, fraudulent, or abusive activity.

A cookie is a small amount of data that is sent to your browser from a web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. Algin uses cookies to provide easier site navigation and to track your shopping cart during checkout. Our cookies do not generate personal data and do not read personal data from your machine. All cookies either expire immediately when you exit the web browser or, in the case of the shopping cart, expire after not more than seven days.
