Demonstration Mode

You can download UMove from UTools.com. No purchase is necessary.

Without a license code UMove will run in demonstration mode. Demonstration mode allows you to walk through all the steps involved in the move process. You can test different scenarios and different options.

At each step UMove will report to you any potential problems, including any detected software incompatibility issues. It will warn you if it detects any issues with your computer.

You can do everything up to, but not including, clicking the final Finish button on the destination computer.

Safe to use: Demonstration mode is always safe to use. Because the Finish button is locked out it is impossible for UMove to make any modifications that could potentially harm your operating system or Active Directory.

Full Mode

To run UMove in full mode, you can purchase a license code at http://utools.com/shop.asp. You will receive a license code within 60 seconds of entering your credit card information.

Entering the License Code

After you get the new license code, enter it into the program. To enter the new license code, simply re-install UMove. Or you can use the Change button in Add/Remove Programs:

1. Click on Start -> Control Panel.
2. Click on Add/Remove Programs (Windows Server 2000 or 2003) or Programs and Features (Windows Server 2008).
3. Click on UMove for Active Directory.
4. Click the button Change
5. Select Enter a new license code and click Next.

Type in your license code when prompted; capitalization is not important.

You can use the same copy of UMove that you installed in demonstration mode. (You do not need to download UMove again.)

This will unlock the Finish button. With the button unlocked you can use all the functionality of UMove.
